O que se passa em França? Segunda noite de distúrbios após a morte de Nahel, de 17 anos, balead

Os distúrbios nas ruas de França continuaram nesta quarta-feira, pela segunda noite consecutiva, após a morte de Nahel, um adolescente baleado pela polícia nos subúrbios de Paris. Os distúrbios alastraram a Nanterre, a norte da capital francesa, onde tudo aconteceu, apesar da mobilização anunciada de dois mil agentes da polícia de choque.

Mais de uma dezena de veículos e mobiliário urbano foram queimados em  Nanterre, onde também foram erguidas barricadas. A polícia efetuou 77 prisões em Paris e na região envolvente, mas os protestos estenderam-se a outras regiões de França, como Lyon, Toulouse e Lille.

💥️O que aconteceu com Nahel?

Nahel foi baleado na manhã de terça-feira. Inicialmente, fontes da polícia disseram que um agente abriu fogo quando o motorista de um veículo tentou atropelar dois membros da polícia motorizada, em Nanterre. No entanto, um vídeo publicado nas redes sociais, cuja autenticidade foi comprovada pela AFP, mostra o momento em que um agente aponta uma arma para o motorista e atira à queima-roupa quando ele acelera com o veículo.

Na gravação, é possível ouvir a frase: "Vai levar um tiro na cabeça", mas não fica claro quem a pronuncia.

A fuga do jovem terminou metros à frente, quando o carro bateu contra um poste. A vítima morreu pouco depois de ser atingida por um tiro no tórax.

O polícia de 38 anos que atirou contra o jovem está sob custódia da justiça como parte da investigação de homicídio doloso por parte de um funcionário público, anunciou o Ministério Público. "Nada justifica a morte de um jovem", disse também o presidente francês, Emmanuel Macron.

💥️"Estou a sofrer pela minha França. Uma situação inaceitável", escreveu Mbappé

Por seu lado, o porta-voz do governo, Olivier Véran, pediu "calma" num contexto de "emoção muito forte".

"As imagens sugerem que o procedimento da operação legal não foi respeitado", declarou a primeira-ministra Elisabeth Borne.

"A pena de morte não existe em França. Nenhum polícia tem o direito de matar, exceto em caso de legítima defesa", escreveu no Twitter, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, líder da França Insubmissa.

"Estou a sofrer pela minha França. Uma situação inaceitável", escreveu o avançado do Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Kylian Mbappé, que em 2023 também reagiu ao espancamento de um produtor musical negro, Michel Zecler, em Paris, por polícias.

Estas declarações foram criticadas por um dos principais sindicatos policiais, Alliance, e por dirigentes da extrema-direita.

O Alliance considerou "inconcebível que o presidente da República, assim como alguns dirigentes políticos, artistas e outros desconsiderem a separação de poderes e a independência da Justiça condenando os nossos colegas antes que se pronunciem".

A ex-candidata presidencial Marine Le Pen, líder do Reagrupamento Nacional (RN, extrema direita), denunciou uma reação "irresponsável" por parte de Macron.

A primeira noite de distúrbios na região de Paris, concentrados, principalmente, em Nanterre, terminou com mais de 40 carros incendiados, 31 pessoas detidas e 24 policiais levemente feridos.

💥️Esta quinta-feira foi convocado uma marcha em homenagem a Nahel

"A nossa cidade acordou em choque, abalada, marcada e preocupada com esta onda de violência”, disse o autarca da localidade, Patrick Jarry, que também fez um apelo por calma e pediu "justiça para Nahel".

A mãe do adolescente convocou, numa mensagem na rede social TikTok, uma marcha em homenagem a Nahel, na tarde desta quinta-feira, perto do local onde tudo aconteceu. "É uma revolta por meu filho".

As forças de segurança na França são acusadas com frequência de abusos ou uso excessivo da força, como durante a final da Liga dos Campeões em 2022 e nos protestos recentes contra a reforma da Segurança Social.

Esta tragédia provocou uma onda de indignação. A França registrou 13 mortes em 2022 durante incidentes similares. Em meados de junho, um guineense foi morto perto de Angouleme, no centro do país, por um tiro de um agente.

Em maio, vários países expressaram às Nações Unidas a sua preocupação com a violência policial e a discriminação racial em França, durante uma avaliação periódica à qual se submetem a cada quatro anos os países da ONU.
